FINE MOTOR SKILLS

ADELINE HAS MADE THE FIRST AMAZING STACKING TOWER   OF 2017. WE ALL THINK SHE IS VERY CLEVER ESPECIALLY AS SHE HELD THE STICKS THE RIGHT WAY USING HER CORRECT PENCIL GRIP AND FOLLOWED THE PATTERN REQUIRED.

WE ARE LEARNING ABOUT PLACE VALUE

WE MADE A HUMAN TENS FRAME IT WAS A BIT CONFUSING BUT WE NOW KNOW THAT WE MADE ONE 10 WHICH IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM ONE 1.

WE ALSO SAW THAT 5+5 OR 5X2 MAKES 10 ALSO

WE HAD FUN WITH THE DOMINOS

WE FOUND ALL THE DOMINOS THAT ADDED UP TO ANY  NUMBER BETWEEN 1 AND 10 AND PUT THEM ONTO THE RIGHT NUMBER IN THE RIGHT ORDER. WE HAD A LOT OF FUN AND WORKED TOGETHER  NICELY

THESE ARE THE FIRST INTAKE OF CHILDREN FOR 2017

WE KNOW EACH OTHER PRETTY WELL BECAUSE MOST OF US STARTED SCHOOL LATE LAST YEAR.

The Mini Olympics

We had a fun time doing all the exciting activities during our Mini Olympics. 

Here we are with our Country we were representing.

Everybody won a gold medal, because we were all sooooo

Fractions

We made sandwiches and cut them into quarters.

We did a really good job.

Wig Wednesday

We had some very inventive hats  and hairstyles in our class room  on "Wig Wednesday". When we were raising  money for "Child Cancer  Research"

We had great fun creating these Mosaic  creations.

  I was really impressed by the individuality of these creatures

Patterns

We are beginning to look at repeating patterns and the different things we can do with them.

Some of us sorted by colour alone

Some of us used two elements size and colour

 Kiara was very inventive she made squares using four blocks and then created a FIVE element pattern.

Lastly we made a pattern using ourselves can you work it out??

Animal enclosures

After our visit to the Zoo. We made an enclosure for an animal of our choice. We worked in groups of three and  we had to keep everybody  in the group happy .... testing !!!
